He remained frozen for decades, preventing him from aging, and was revived in modern times by S.H.I.E.L.D., becoming one of the main Avengers. In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, he was portrayed by actor Chris Evans, starting with the movie Captain America: The First Avenger.
